MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAM

Many residents in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities experience mental health issues and exhibit problematic behaviors. Although there are many contributing factors to this, the outcomes are the same: dissatisfied residents and families, decreased quality of life, declining functional capabilities, potentially worsening medical comorbidities, and care interrupted by frequent hospitalizations. 

At MPAC Healthcare, our holistic approach to post-acute care demonstrates the equal importance we place on residents' mental health as well as their physical health. Our Mental Health Program provides psychotherapy to address symptoms of depression, anxiety, grief and loss, transition and adjustment, and other psychological, social, and behavioral needs in the community setting. 

Our clinicians work closely with the residents, their families, and the facility physician, nurse, social service department, MDS coordinator, and other staff to optimize patient treatment and provide mental health services to:
